The All-America Rose Selection Test Garden

The All-America Rose Selections is a non-profit association of
rose growers and introducers dedicated to the introduction and
promotion of exceptional roses. Since 1938 the AARS seal of
approval has graced outstanding new rose varieties that have
withstood the test of time and Mother Nature.
The "EarthKind" Trail Garden

Dr. Steve George, Associate Professor and Extension
Landscape Specialist with Texas A&M University heads up
the program to advance the field testing of experimental rose selections. No fertilizers (i.e. no commercial synthetic,
no commercial organic) and pesticides (i.e. no fungicides,
no insecticides, no miticides, no neem oil) are to be used
on the roses. The programs intent is to identify the most
beautiful carefree roses ever developed.
The Farmers Branch Historical Park

The Farmers Branch Historical Park is one of the many places
in the City that visitors can enjoy roses that have been integrated
into the landscapes. The front lawn of the 1885 Queen Anne
Victorian Cottage boasts old garden roses blooming. This
Victorian garden was a gift to the City in honor of Ruthan
Rogers, a rose enthusiast and past president of the Brookhaven
Garden Club. The Rose Garden was dedicated on Tuesday;
July 3, 2007 as part of the Independence Day Celebration
festivities.
